Accessibility Statement
At Keswick Dental, we are committed to providing a welcoming and accessible environment for all patients, including those with disabilities. We aim to ensure that everyone can access our services with ease, comfort, and dignity.
Our Facilities
-
Our practice is located on a single ground floor level, with step-free access throughout.
-
Wheelchair access is available at the entrance, in corridors, and in the waiting area.
-
An accessible WC is provided, equipped with support rails, emergency pull cord, and space for wheelchair turning.
-
The reception desk includes a low section for wheelchair users, and all seating is movable.
-
A hearing loop system is available for patients using hearing aids.
-
Assistance dogs are welcome, and water is available for them on request.
Treatment Room Accessibility
-
Our treatment rooms are accessible to wheelchair users. However, patients must be able to transfer to the dental chair for treatment. If this is not possible, we will assist with a referral to appropriate community services
Sensory Considerations
-
Lighting is designed to reduce glare and shadows, with calming cloud lights in treatment rooms.
-
The environment is kept quiet and free from excessive noise to support patients with sensory sensitivities.
Support & Communication
-
All staff have completed Disability and Autism Awareness training.
-
Patients are always chaperoned from the waiting room to the treatment room.
Emergency Preparedness
-
We have a clear emergency evacuation plan in place, and staff are trained to assist patients with mobility, visual, or hearing impairments.
If you have any questions about accessibility or require additional support, please contact our team. We are here to help.
