Sealant
A dental sealant is a thin, protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, usually the molars and premolars, to help prevent cavities.
These back teeth have deep grooves and pits where food particles and bacteria can easily get trapped, making them harder to clean with regular brushing. Sealants act like a shield, sealing out plaque and food and reducing the risk of tooth decay.
Sealants are:
• Quick and painless to apply
• Clear or tooth-colored for a natural look
• Long-lasting, often protecting teeth for several years
Sealants are most commonly recommended for:
• Children and teens, shortly after their permanent molars come in
• Adults, in some cases, if the teeth have deep grooves and no existing decay or fillings
Getting sealants is a simple, non-invasive way to help protect your (or your child’s) teeth and keep them cavity-free.
Fluoride Varnish
Fluoride varnish is a protective dental treatment that helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities. It’s a quick, safe, and effective way to reduce the risk of tooth decay in both children and adults.
The varnish is a highly concentrated form of fluoride that is painted directly onto the teeth. It hardens quickly and stays in contact with the enamel long enough to absorb and provide lasting protection.
Benefits of fluoride varnish:
• Helps prevent cavities
• Strengthens weak spots in enamel
• Safe for kids and adults
• Fast and painless to apply
It’s especially helpful for:
• Children with developing teeth
• Patients with a high risk of decay
• People with dry mouth or orthodontic appliances
• Patients undergoing certain medical treatments that affect oral health
Application is easy and it only takes a few minutes during a regular examination, and you can eat and drink shortly afterward (with a few simple instructions).

Crown
A dental crown is a custom-made cap that fits over a damaged or weakened tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Think of it as a protective cover that helps preserve your natural tooth and improves its function.
Crowns are often recommended when:
• A tooth is cracked, broken, or severely worn down
• There’s a large cavity that can’t be repaired with a filling
• After a root canal to protect the treated tooth
• To cover a dental implant
• To improve the appearance of a discolored or misshapen tooth
Crowns can be made from materials like porcelain, ceramic, metal, or a combination, depending on your needs and where the crown is located in your mouth.
With proper care, a crown can last many years and help you chew, speak, and smile with confidence.
Bridge
A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It literally “bridges” the gap created by missing teeth using your natural teeth or dental implants for support.
A typical bridge is made up of:
• Pontic(s): The artificial tooth or teeth that fill the gap
• Abutment teeth: The natural teeth or implants on either side of the gap that anchor the bridge in place
Bridges are custom-made to match the colour, shape, and size of your natural teeth, helping restore your smile and your bite. They also help prevent surrounding teeth from shifting out of position—something that often happens when a tooth is missing.
A dental bridge might be recommended if:
• You’re missing one or more teeth in a row
• You want a fixed (non-removable) solution
• You’re looking to improve chewing, speaking, and your smile
There are several types of bridges, including traditional, cantilever, Maryland, and implant-supported. We’ll help determine the best option for your unique situation.
Denture
Dentures are removable dental appliances used to replace missing teeth and restore your smile. Whether you’re missing a few teeth or all of them, dentures can help you eat, speak, and smile with confidence again.
There are two main types of dentures:
• Complete Dentures – Used when all teeth are missing in the upper or lower jaw.
• Partial Dentures – Used when some natural teeth remain. These fill in the spaces left by missing teeth and prevent other teeth from shifting.
Dentures are custom-made to fit comfortably and look natural. Modern materials and techniques make today’s dentures more lifelike, secure, and comfortable than ever before.
Dentures might be a good option if you:
• Have lost multiple teeth due to decay, gum disease, or injury
• Want an affordable, non-surgical tooth replacement
• Need to restore function for chewing and speaking
Filling
A dental filling is a common treatment used to repair a tooth that has been damaged by decay (a cavity) or minor fractures. Fillings help restore the tooth’s shape, strength, and function, and prevent further decay from spreading.
The process is simple:
1. The decayed or damaged part of the tooth is gently removed.
2. The area is cleaned and prepared.
3. A filling material is placed to “fill in” the space and restore the tooth.
Fillings can be made from different materials, including:
• Composite resin (tooth-colored) – blends in naturally with your smile
• Amalgam (silver-colored) – strong and durable, often used for back teeth
• Ceramic or porcelain – highly aesthetic and stain-resistant
You might need a filling if you:
• Have a cavity
• Notice sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweet foods
• Have a chipped or worn tooth
Getting a filling is quick, effective, and usually completed in one visit. The goal is to stop decay, preserve your natural tooth, and keep your smile healthy.
Root Canal Filling
A root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to save a tooth that is badly decayed, infected, or damaged. Despite its reputation, modern root canal treatment is comfortable, effective, and helps you avoid tooth loss.
Inside every tooth is a soft tissue called the pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels. If the pulp becomes infected due to deep decay, a crack, or trauma, it can cause pain and lead to serious problems if left untreated.
A root canal treatment involves:
1. Gently removing the infected or inflamed pulp
2. Cleaning and disinfecting the inside of the tooth
3. Filling and sealing the space to prevent further infection
4. Placing a crown or filling to restore the tooth’s strength and function
This procedure relieves pain, stops the infection, and saves your natural tooth—so you can continue to bite, chew, and smile with confidence.
You might need a root canal if you have:
• Persistent tooth pain
• Sensitivity to hot or cold
• Swelling or tenderness in the gums
• A cracked or darkened tooth
Root canal treatment is often completed in one or two visits and is a safe, effective way to restore your oral health.
Tooth Extraction
A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. Extractions are often necessary when a tooth is badly damaged by decay, infection, or trauma, or if there isn’t enough room in the mouth, such as with wisdom teeth. We make every effort to keep you comfortable during the procedure, using gentle techniques and appropriate anaesthesia. After the extraction, we’ll provide detailed care instructions and discuss options for replacing the tooth, if needed, to keep your smile healthy and complete.
Whitening
Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten your smile by removing stains and discoloration from the surface of your teeth. Over time, things like coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco can dull your natural tooth color. Professional whitening treatments use specially formulated gels that gently lift stains, often in just one visit. Whether you're getting ready for a special occasion or just want to boost your confidence, we offer options to help you achieve a noticeably whiter, brighter smile.
